How To Stay Fit After 40?

Let's face it, after our 30's it is hard to stay in shape without any kind of effort rom our part. Our metabolism slows down and notice that the killos start to pile up slow but sure due to a lack diet maintenance.

There are very few simple life changes which can help you stay fit and avoid getting fat. Watching what you eat, the type of foods and how much activity you do is all good.

Watch your carbs

I know that many dismiss the low carb diet  as a fad diet and a way to deprive your body of essential nutrients, which is all true. However, you don't have to go to the extreme of eliminating all carbs from your diet. That is unhealthy. What you have to do after 40, especially, is to reduce them and replace them with more protein intake.

Most of women experience lots of body changes during peri-menopause, which usually starts in their 40s and during menopause, after 50s. One of the most disturbing symptom for women during this period is weight gain, despite same calorie intake. Also, you may notice a loss in muscular mass as well.

Food does influence how strong your menopause symptoms are, since there are foods who can influence the levels of oestrogens in your body. Besides, changing your diet to include more of these types of food such as soybeans, tofu, soya is essential for your well-being. Also, you will need plenty of fresh salads and fish and lean meat cuts to help you stay on top your weight and still keep high levels of energy.

Should You Use Diet Pills After 40?

For many women fighting the pounds is not an easy task. Some have difficulty shedding their weight despite keeping a  strict weight loss diet. Hence, many women are starting to use diet pills during menopause. Amberen is a popular diet pill for women during menopause. Though, you should not dismiss and other popular diet pills brands just because they are not advertised as for menopause.
